The General Access Computing Labs (GACLs, pronounced gackles) offer networked Windows and Mac computers for faculty, staff, and students. GACLs are located in the Arkansas Union, Mullins Library, J.B. Hunt Building, Northwest Quad Building B, and the Administrative Services Building (ADSB).Computers in the GACLs host a wide range of software including Microsoft Office 2010, Adobe Creative Suite 5, Acrobat Pro, a full suite of math and statistical software, AutoCAD, iWorks, and open source alternatives to Microsoft Office and multimedia products. Web browsers include Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari. Chrome can also be downloaded. For more information, see the complete list of GACL software.
Laser printing is available in all labs for all supported software. Color printing is available in the Arkansas Union and Mullins Library labs. All students are subject to a PrintSmart quota when printing in public labs on campus.
Windows and Mac laptops are available for checkout by faculty, staff, and students who present their University IDs at the Mullins Library GACL as well as the Student Technology Center.

In the summer, the Mullins GACL closes Monday through Thursday at midnight, Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m., and Sunday at midnight.
Northwest Quad Building B

The Northwest Quad GACL is always open. The following hours reflect when a computer lab operator is on duty:
Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m.
Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday from 6 to 10 p.m.
In the summer, the Northwest Quad GACL is staffed by a computer lab operator Monday through Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m.
Student Technology Center

The Student Technology Center is a place for students to use technology in ways not always compatible with the focus of the GACLs, such as gaming, Facebooking, or uploading YouTube videos. Limited food and drink are also allowed.
