Password Manager is a website where you can activate your UARK account, reset or change your password(s), and retrieve a password if you have forgotten it.Password Guidelines
- Your password must contain at least one character from each of three character groups: numbers, uppercase letters, lowercase letters, or special characters, i.e., ~!@#$%^&*()-_=+\|]}[{;:'",<.>/?. Your password cannot contain tabs or control characters.
- Your password cannot be any derivative of your username.
- Your password cannot exceed a maximum length of 32 characters.
- Your password must have a minimum length of eight characters.
- Your password cannot be reused within the last six changes.
Reset UARK Password
University regulations require that all UARK passwords be changed every 120 days. You will receive reminder notices via email when it is time to change your password. If it reaches 120 days unchanged, your password will expire and you will no longer have access to services associated with your UARK account. Current and expired passwords can be changed at Password Manager.
If you have forgotten your password, you might be able to retrieve it if you previously set a security question and answer using Password Manager. To use the security question and answer, you must know your original security question. The answer is case-sensitive and a minimum of four characters.
If you have forgotten your password and have not set up a question and answer, you must renew your account by going to the IT Services Help Desk, the Arkansas Union Help Desk, or the General Access Computing Labs in the Arkansas Union or Mullins Library during business hours. Students can also go to the Office of the Registrar, 146 Hunt Hall, 479-575-5451. A picture ID is required for account renewal. (Off-site users should contact the Help Desk at 575-2905 for more information on unlocking their account.)
Mobile/IMAP Password for UARK Gmail
When logging into web-based UARK Gmail at email.uark.edu, use your UARK username and password. When setting up your UARK Gmail mailbox on a mobile device or in a desktop email application such as Outlook, a Mobile/IMAP password for UARK Gmail is required.
To create your Mobile/IMAP password for UARK Gmail :
- Log into Password Manager with your UARK username and password.
- Check the box next to your username under the Mobile/IMAP for UARK Gmail header.
- Enter your new password in the Password field and enter it again in the Confirm Password field.
- Click Submit to apply your new password.
The Mobile/IMAP password for UARK Gmail keeps your UARK password secure, protecting your personal information.
ISIS and BASIS Administrative Passwords
Administrative ISIS and BASIS passwords must be reset separately.
