Jannette Akridge serves as interim chief information officer in addition to her role as associate vice chancellor for Strategic Data and Process Innovation. Before returning to higher education, Akridge spent over two decades at Walmart Inc., where she held multiple senior leadership roles, including Sr. Director II of Business Intelligence and Data Analysis and Sr. Director II – Financial Planning and Analysis. Her work at Walmart included leading global data governance, designing enterprise dashboards, and developing predictive models to support strategic initiatives across Information Systems, HR, Finance, Legal, and Corporate Affairs. She holds a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from the University of Arkansas and a B.S. in chemistry with a minor in mathematics from Northwestern State University.

Stephen Tycer serves as the chief information security officer.  He has more than 20 years' experience working with compliance standards, technology and network security management. He  comes to the U of A from  Oil States International in Houston, Texas, where he served as the corporate security manager responsible for global IT security strategy. He has a B.S. in computer science from Texas State University. 

Ian Czarnezki is the associate chief information officer for research infrastructure and technologies. Czarnezki is responsible for overseeing strategic partnerships among research departments within the Division of Research and Innovation, as well as distributed college and departmental information service teams. Czarnezki has had a variety of roles in higher education administration for the past two decades at Kansas State University, Clemons University, University of Central Florida, University of Texas Health Science Center, and University of Missouri.

Don Ussery is the associate chief information officer for enterprise applications and data services, where his responsibilities include the deployment and standardization of enterprise application systems. He directs multiple teams focused on enterprise resource planning (ERP), data warehousing, data management, knowledge management, and campus applications. Under his leadership, these teams navigate the complexities of information systems, providing innovative solutions that enable and sustain the strategic plans and initiatives of the university. Don brings over three decades of IT experience to his current position at the university, including significant contributions to IT operations at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Selena Hriz is the associate chief information officer for enterprise service management. She is responsible for building technology service strategies that enable students, faculty, and staff to accomplish their goals. By building relationships across campus, Selena integrates feedback that enhances the offerings of Enterprise IT. Her focus is on maturing customer-enabled IT services and articulating the strategy that will evolve our user experience. Previously, Hriz served as the director of project management for IT Services, collaborating with other campus departments to meet federal audit and compliance standards as well as managing projects. She received her bachelor's degree from the U of A and is also pursuing her master’s degree in human resources development.

Dr. Kathryn Zawisza is the associate chief information officer for campus partnerships. She is responsible for leading strategy and engagement for technology-related relationships and enabling the university to recognize enterprise priorities through leveraging shared expertise and common standards. Zawisza strives to promote collaboration between IT Services and the campus community, increase innovative uses of technology, and drive efforts to provide a consistent experience of technology across campus for faculty, staff and students. Previously, Kathryn was the director of academic technology at the U of A and a key member of Teaching Innovation and Pedagogical Support (TIPS). She has a Master of Liberal Arts degree from Henderson State University and an M.A. and Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Arkansas where she also teaches in the Philosophy department.

Cory Caldwell serves as the chief technology officer, overseeing the strategic direction of institutional technology to support the evolving needs of the campus. He leads the development of technology roadmaps across multiple domains, ensuring solutions align with business objectives while enhancing efficiency and optimizing costs. With 25 years of experience in information technology, including his tenure as chief technology officer and associate chief information officer at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Cory brings extensive expertise in IT governance, innovation, and operational excellence. He holds a bachelor’s degree in information technology from Arkansas Tech University and a Master of Science in operations management from the U of A.
