Completed: Multi-Factor Authentication Project
As part of an ongoing commitment to securing university data, multi-factor authentication was activated for faculty, staff and student employees during the spring 2020 semester. Learn more and get started with multi-factor.
Securing Our Data
Multi-factor authentication provides an additional layer of security that makes it difficult for unauthorized users to access services, applications and data.
UARK accounts can be compromised by phishing scams, automated bots, targeted attacks, etc. Verifying your account with multi-factor is more secure, especially for services that grant access to Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
Is This Required?
Yes. All faculty and staff will be required to use multi-factor authentication, including student and hourly employees.
You will be prompted to verify your account when logging into online services like Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Teams, etc.), Adobe, UAConnect, Blackboard Learn, Box and more. View a complete list of applications.
Note: At this time, secondary accounts are not required to register for multi-factor authentication.
