Affiliate accounts can be granted to those not employed by the university or enrolled as students who have a legitimate need to access university resources.
Affiliate accounts can be granted to:
- Academic affiliates, for example, speakers, visiting researchers and faculty
- Non-academic affiliates, for example, vendors, contractors and consultants, as well as those with an athletics affiliation
Users with affiliate accounts can access email (by request), wireless and university applications such as webBASIS. Most affiliations are short-term and end within a year.
Requesting an Affiliate Account
To request a UARK account for an affiliate:
- Request a University ID for an academic affiliate by contacting the academic unit with which they will be affiliated or the Office of the Registrar at 479-575-5451 or email@example.com. Date of birth is required.
- Request a University ID for a non-academic affiliate by contacting the leave administrator of the department with which they will be affiliated. Date of birth and Social Security number are required.

Guest Internet Access
An affiliate account is not necessary for guests to access the unsecured wireless network UARK Guest Wi-Fi. Those visiting from eduroam participating institutions can also connect to the eduroam wireless network.
