Zoom Outlook Add-In
Heads up! Zoom will discontinue the Zoom for Mac Outlook plugin in May 2021. Make sure to install the new add-in to avoid disruption in service.
The Zoom for Outlook Add-In allows you to use Outlook when scheduling Zoom meetings, and the meetings will be added to your Outlook calendar.

Install the Outlook Add-In
- Go to the Zoom for Outlook Add-in page and click Get It Now.
- Click Continue.
Schedule a Meeting from Outlook for Web
- Log into outlook.office.com with your UARK email address.
- In the Outlook Calendar web interface, click New Event.
- Click the three dots at the top of the meeting invite. Select Add a Zoom Meeting.
- If you are asked to log into Zoom, click Sign in with SSO. In the Domain field, enter uark. Click Continue.
- The invite email will be filled out with the meeting URL and passcode if required.
- Click the three dots and select Zoom Settings to set ID, Security, Video, Audio, and other options. Click Update when done.
- Set the date and time for the meeting, add attendees in the Invite Attendees field, and set to repeat if needed.
- Click Save.
The meeting will be scheduled in Zoom and in your Outlook Calendar. Recipients can click on the link in the email to join your meeting.
Schedule a Meeting from Outlook Desktop Client
- In Outlook Calendar desktop app, click New Meeting.
- In the new meeting email that opens, click the Add a Zoom Meeting button, and the invite email will be completed to include the meeting URL and passcode if required.
- Click the Settings button to open Zoom meeting settings to set ID, Security, Video, Audio, and other options for the meeting. Click Update when done.
- Set the date and time for the meeting, add attendees in the Required field, make recurring if needed, and send the email. The meeting will be scheduled in Zoom and in your Outlook Calendar. Recipients can click on the link in the email to join your meeting.
Schedule a Meeting from Zoom Web Portal
- From the UARK Zoom Web Portal, click Schedule a Meeting.
- Set the date and time for the meeting, and select the meeting settings including ID, Security, Video, Audio, and other options. Click Save.
- On the next screen, click Outlook Calendar. Click OK to open with Outlook.
- The Outlook Appointment window will open with the completed invite email content, including the meeting URL and passcode if required.
- Clicking Save and Close will only add the meeting to your Outlook Calendar. To add attendees, click Scheduling Assistant and add attendees under All Attendees. Clicking the Meeting tab will now display the Required field to add more attendees.
- Make recurring if needed, send the email, and the meeting will be scheduled in Zoom and in your Outlook Calendar. Recipients can click on the link in the email to join your meeting.
Schedule a Meeting from Zoom Desktop Client
- From the Zoom client Home screen, click Schedule.
- The Zoom meeting settings will open to set ID, Security, Video, Audio, and other options for the meeting. Click Schedule when done.
- An email will open from Outlook with the completed invite email content, including the meeting URL and passcode if required.
- Set the date and time for the meeting, add attendees in the Required field, make recurring if needed, and send the email. The meeting will be scheduled in Zoom and in your Outlook Calendar. Recipients can click on the link in the email to join your meeting.
