Scheduling a Meeting
Schedule Zoom meetings from your desktop, mobile device or the web version. An ID number and link will be created that can be emailed or posted to a group. If a password has been set for the meeting, the password will be included in the email. Other options include:
- Scheduling from Outlook Calendar using the Outlook add-in
- Scheduling class meetings through Blackboard
- Easily schedule multiple meetings to use the same settings with meeting templates
You can start an unscheduled meeting with or without video by clicking New Meeting or Host a Meeting. Use the Participants button on the task bar to invite others through Zoom or by email.
With the Personal Meeting ID, you can share a customizable link for others to join at any time.
In addition to starting and ending meetings, the host can:
- Manage participants
- Enable closed captioning
- Record the meeting
Note: Only the host can record the meeting unless they give permission to a participant to record. Learn more about recording without the host.
- Create breakout rooms
- Create a waiting room to require individual admittance to the meeting
