Wireless VoIP Phones

Wireless phone handsets are not available for the current VoIP system. To replace this functionality, IT Services can help departments configure a university-owned cellphone for making and receiving VoIP phone calls.

  1. Order a smartphone from the university. It is not necessary to select a data/voice plan, since the device will be used with UARK Wi-Fi only.  See the Order a New Cellphone instructions to get started. 
  2. A dedicated secondary account is required for managing device settings in Microsoft Teams. To request secondary account, create a ticket.
  3. Once the cellphone has been provided and the secondary account has been created, contact the VoIP team to complete the configuration.
