Using the Skype for Business Desktop Application

With the Skype for Business desktop application for Windows and Mac, faculty and staff can chat with contacts, start conference calls and transfer files.

Find your contact in the Skype Contacts list or use the search. To chat, call or start a video session, double-click your contact to open a conversation window. Click Call from the chat window to add audio to your session. Click Video to initiate a video session.

Conference with Multiple Contacts

Add more people to an existing chat, call or video session by dragging and dropping the contacts from the Contacts list into the open conversation window or clicking the Invite people button and searching for contacts.

Skype Web Integration

Skype for business is integrated into the Office365 web interface and available from the toolbar and within apps.

Launch Skype for Business Web Scheduler

If you don’t have Outlook or Windows, use Skype for Business Web Scheduler to set up, join, and manage Skype for Business meetings.
