Virtual Desktops Windows Setup

IT Services provides a suite of virtual desktop environments, such as vLab for students and customized department environments for faculty and staff. To access your virtual desktop, install VMware Horizon Client.

  1. Download the appropriate VMware Horizon Client installer for your computer:
  2. Double-click to run the installer file.
  3. If prompted, click Yes in the "Windows User Account" dialog box. Click Next.
  4. Check the box to accept the terms in the License Agreement. Click Next.
  5. Click Next to accept the default options. Click Next to accept program default features. 
  6. Enter "" as the name of the "Default Horizon Connection Server." Click Next.
  7. Make sure the "Show in Options menu" box is checked. Click Next.
  8. Click Next to accept the default shortcuts. Click Install.
  9. Click Finish to complete. Click Yes to restart your computer.
