UARK Wi-Fi Mobile Setup

IT Services supports a number of mobile devices including iPhone, iPad and Windows Phone. 

iPhone Setup

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi. Tap On.
  3. Select UARK Wi-Fi from the list of available networks. 
  4. Enter your UARK username and password.
  5. Tap Join.
  6. If you get a certificate warning, tap Trust.

Troubleshooting Note: If you are experiencing problems connecting, remove the connection profile from your device and create a new one. To remove the connection:

  1. Open Settings. Tap Wi-Fi.
  2. Tap the Info icon to the right of the wireless network.
  3. Tap "Forget this Network."

Follow the setup instructions above to create a new connection.

Android Settings

Android is used across a variety of devices, each with slightly different ways of setting up a Wi-Fi network. If you are experiencing issues setting up UARK Wi-Fi on an Android device, use the settings provided below. 

Select UARK Wi-Fi from the list of available networks. Open the Wi-Fi advanced settings menu and select the following security settings:

  • Security: 802.1x EAP
  • EAP Method/Authentication: PEAP
  • Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPv2
  • CA Certificate: Do not validate
  • Identity: Your UARK username 
  • Anonymous Identity: Leave blank
  • Password: Your UARK password

Troubleshooting Note: If you are experiencing problems connecting, remove the connection from your list of Wi-Fi networks and then re-add it.

Windows Phone Setup

  1. On Start, flick left to view the App list. 
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Select Wi-Fi. Make sure Wi-Fi networking is set to On.
  4. Ensure the "Notify me when new networks are found" box is checked.
  5. Select "UARK Wi-Fi" from the list of available networks.
  6. Enter your UARK username and password.
  7. Tap Done.

Troubleshooting Note: If you are experiencing problems connecting, remove the connection profile from your device and create a new one. To remove the connection:

  1. Tap Start and then Settings.
  2. Tap the Connections tab and choose Wireless Manager.
  3. Tap Menu, and select "Wi-Fi Settings". 
  4. Select the wireless profile to be deleted. Tap Menu and choose Remove Settings.

Follow the setup instructions above to create a new connection.
