All students, faculty and staff can take advantage of free antivirus software to keep personal and university-owned devices secure.
Follow these tips if you're having trouble accessing online services like as UAConnect, webBASIS or Blackboard:
- Check the IT Status Monitor to find out if the service is unavailable.
- Test your internet connection by checking if you can access google.com and enter any search term. If you receive a timeout error, your internet connection could be down or slow.
- Make sure your computer is up to date: Windows | Mac
If the service is available and your internet connection is working, troubleshoot your browser.
We recommend using the following applications to back up and protect important university data:
- Time Machine for Mac
- SyncToy for Windows
- CrashPlan, available for purchase

The university provides Bomgar remote support for technical staff to control multiple systems, chat with end-users and collaborate with other support representatives from their own workstations.
