VoIP Voicemail

Check Voicemail

Whether you are using a desk phone or a softphone app, voicemail is easy with the VoIP system.

Voicemail messages are emailed to you as a transcript and an audio file.

To check voicemail from your desk phone, press the Voicemail key and select the message to listen, call back or delete.
Note: Voicemail deleted from Outlook, Skype for Business or Teams is permanently deleted and cannot be retrieved from your desk phone.

Set Voicemail Greeting

Your voicemail is already set up with an automated greeting, so you are not required to take any action. To set up a personalized greeting:

  1. Log into the Skype for Business app from your computer or mobile device.
Note: Make sure you have the latest version of Skype for Business.
  2. On the Phone tab, click the voicemail icon below the dial pad and then click Change Greetings.
  3. Skype for Business will call your voicemail. When asked to press a number, pause the microphone icon and click a number in the Dial Pad tab.
  4. Follow the prompts to record your greeting.
Note: We recommend doing this in a quiet location with a headset microphone.

Using Microsoft Teams for VoIP? Click your profile icon and select Settings. Click the Calls tab and then click Change voicemail greeting. Follow the prompts to record your greeting.
