Install and set up Office 365 apps, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, OneDrive and Skype for Business. You can also install Office 365 on your mobile device.

Faculty/staff: Before installing Office on a university-owned computer, contact your department tech support.

Take caution when storing sensitive, confidential information in OneDrive. Ensure that your device is password protected. Learn more about securing sensitive data.

STOP! Before getting started, you must uninstall all Microsoft Office apps currently on your computer. Even if you already have Office 2016, you will need to uninstall it before you can take advantage of the free downloads through the University of Arkansas Office 365 license.

Uninstall Existing Office Apps

Instructions on uninstalling Office are available from Microsoft support:

Visio and Project must be uninstalled before installing Office 365, but they are not included with Office 365. Visio and Project must be reinstalled after the Office 365 installation by mapping a drive to the Gizmo server.  

Install Office 365 Apps

Note for Windows: The 32-bit version is recommended for all devices. To install the 64-bit version, click Advanced in the Version section and switch to 64-bit before clicking Install.
