Checkout Time Limit: 7 Days

13" Apple Macbooks and Dell laptops are available for checkout.

The Dell laptops have Respondus Lockdown Browser installed.

Microsoft Office applications and Zoom are installed on all laptops.

 

Return Policy: Late returns will receive one mark per day. If an item checked out to you is damaged, lost or stolen, you may be charged a replacement fee.

Reserve Laptops

Heads up! Equipment checkout services are temporarily unavailable while inventory is transferred to another reservation system. The STC will still offer in-person laptop checkouts on limited availability.

How-Tos & Troubleshooting

  • Check out a Dell laptop for Respondus Lockdown Browser for online exams. Respondus is not compatible with MacBooks.
  • Do not save files to the laptop. You are responsible for deleting any sensitive files from the laptop. Use a flash drive or external drive to back up your files, or upload them to OneDrive or other cloud storage.
  • Some school-related software can be installed on the laptop by Student Tech Center staff. Make sure to ask the staff to install the software before you leave with the laptop as software installation will require an admin password. Some larger applications cannot be installed on the checkout laptops, but Remote Lab can be used. 
  • Log out of any web services and clear cache and cookies before returning the laptop.
