Podcast Studio

The soundproof Podcast Studio in our Digital Media Lab has everything you need for creating your podcast, including a podcasting production console.

5-hour reservation 

Visit the Digital Media Lab desk before using the podcast studio, and show your University ID. Ask staff any questions regarding the setup or use of the podcast studio equipment or software.

Software and equipment available in the studio include: 

  • RØDECaster Pro integrated podcast production console with four microphone inputs and eight programmable music/sound effect sound pads with 64 sound capacity. It has smartphone, USB and Bluetooth channels for remote guest integration.

Reservations

Heads up! Online room reservation services are temporarily unavailable while inventory is transferred to another reservation system. The STC will still offer in-person reservations on limited availability.

There are additional items you can check out separately to use in the podcast studio. Request these items at the Digital Media Lab desk:

Adapters may be requested from the Student Tech Center Checkout Desk to use with microphones and headphones. 

Policies

Podcasting takes priority in the Podcast Studio. For non-podcast purposes, you can reserve one of the Audio Recording Studios or individual study rooms.

  • Drinks with lids are allowed, but no food is allowed in the Podcast Studio.
  • The Podcast Studio has a capacity maximum of three people.
  • Equipment and chairs cannot be removed from the room.
