Multi-Factor Authentication Project
As part of an ongoing commitment to securing university data, multi-factor authentication will be activated for faculty, staff and student employees starting March 18, 2020. Learn more and get started with multi-factor.
Heads up! The the last possible date to complete the setup is Tuesday, March 31. If you do not register after that time, you will be unable to access services like UARK email, Blackboard, UAConnect, Box and more.
Securing Our Data
Multi-factor authentication provides an additional layer of security that makes it difficult for unauthorized users to access services, applications and data.
UARK accounts can be compromised by phishing scams, automated bots, targeted attacks, etc. Verifying your account with multi-factor is more secure, especially for services that grant access to Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
Is This Required?
Yes. All faculty and staff will be required to use multi-factor authentication, including student and hourly employees.
You will be prompted to verify your account when logging into online services like Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Teams, etc.), Adobe, UAConnect, Blackboard Learn, Box and more. View a complete list of applications.
Note: At this time, secondary accounts are not required to register for multi-factor authentication.
Get started setting up your UARK account with multi-factor authentication. The deadline to complete registration is Tuesday, March 31.
To assist users with the registration process, IT Services will host online multi-factor support sessions between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., beginning Friday, March 20 through Thursday, March 26 (excluding the weekend).
